Bed Bug Treatment

Treating your bed bug bites can almost always take place at home. You can apply anti-itch creams and over-the-counter pain medications to reduce mild symptoms.

All bed bugs must be removed from your property to end an infestation. This is usually only accomplished with an aggressive treatment from a bed bug exterminator through steam treatments, heat treatments, and more.

There are several steps you can take at home to help prevent and reduce your number of bed bugs. These include vacuuming and washing, but will only go so far at slowing the infestation. It is often best to use a professional treatment for complete eradication.

Bed bugs don’t often infest carpets, but when they do, thoroughly vacuuming your carpets and rugs can remove many of them. If doing this, carefully make sure to dispose of vacuum cleaner bags when you are finished!

The pest control company that you are working with should provide you with a list of instructions before the bed bug treatment. These instructions will include preparing you to vacate your property for several hours.
